Studio Enterprise from ComponentOne
A comprehensive range of components from ComponentOne including grids, reporting, charting, scheduling, data manipulation and user interfaces - with only some of the full range being used in HighStone. In addition to the .NET environment the library includes support for other platforms including mobile devices, ASP.NET and other environments. The FlexGrid Grid Control forms the cornerstone of HighStone displays and is used for all Data Grid displays in the applications. Printed Reports are also supported through use of a Reporting Control - run in conjunction with a PDF Control.
A range of communication based facilities combined in to a single library for .NET, C++ and ActiveX. The facilities from the library that are applied to HighStone include Email (POP3 / SMTP), FTP, ZIP and a useful HTML to Standard Text conversion tool. Different Versions support .NET 1.0 / 1.1 Framework, .NET 2.0 / 3.5 Framework, .NET 4.0 Framework with the last two being offered in both 32 bit and 64 bit versions.
Active Query Builder from ActiveDBSoft
A visual SQL query builder component that allows users to build complex SQL queries via an intuitive visual query building interface easily. HighStone uses the control in conjunction with the defined database Table Definitions to provide the query building capability.
DotTWAIN Scanning from Atalasoft
The DotTwain library is a .NET based facility used for capturing digital images from scanners, cameras and other TWAIN devices. HighStone uses the library for providing a scanning capability for saving Documents alongside other HighStone Object Records.
Sentinel HASP Protection Token Recognition from SafeNet
Sentinel HASP provides a hardware based protection system that is based on programmable USB keys. Although HASP Keys are not necessarily used by HighStone to control all User use of the Application, HASP Key Recognition is included within the core HighStone functions. This facility can be used to provide quick and controlled User Login accounts - and secure encryption of sensitive data files.
Grid InQuest from Quest Geo Solutions
The Grid Inquest component library is used to convert coordinates given in Longitude / Latitude to OS coordinate systems used in Great Britain, Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland. The utility is provided by Quest in conjunction with the Ordnance Survey to software developers as a free to use and distribute toolkit.
Reports Designer from ComponentOne
The Reports Designer provides a WYSIWYG report designer application that can be integrated in to HighStone. The style of the report editor is very similar to the report designer provided by Microsoft in the Access Database. The Report Designer runtime is distributed as standard with HighStone as part of the Studio Enterprise library suite. With this additional library the ability to include the actual Report Designer as part of the general HighStone release is provided. At the current time the Report Designer has not been released to Users - where Report Formats have to be prepared they are undertaken by Claremont Controls and issued as pre-designed templates in an XML format.
Doc-To-Help is an authoring application that Claremont Controls uses to create the HighStone Help facility. Doc-To-Help supports a number of document source formats - including Word, HTML or a custom supplied XHTML Editor - and builds an integrated Help System in a range of output formats - including NetHelp, HTML Help, PDF, Winhelp, JavaHelp. HighStone Help has adopted the Doc-To-Help Enterprise version using the internal editor for drafting the help text, and publishes the final Help facility as a Web Help application using HTML and Javascript. The HighStone Help facility can be installed on a Client's intranet, and is also published on Claremont Controls own website.
